The most vigorous European pear varieties I have grown have been the Atlantic Queen and Ubileen.  Warren and Magness are close behind.  Old Home is vigorous but I only have it to use as an interstem so never leave a tree growing long.  Of course I am comparing them all on the same rootstock.  The most vigorous Asian pear has been the Seuri.

We have had a number of pears (Warren, Moonglow, Seckel, Atlantic Queen, Comice).  Comice by far has been the most vigorous and is fairly resistant to fireblight.  We just planted another variety (a Stark named pear, can't remember the exact name), this fall so will see how it does.  Seckel died in our clay soil, the others save Comice have been slow growers, but no fireblight.
