Sam:

I grew the the side by side for well over 15 years and could not detect
any differences whatsoever.

Both are great when properly picked (slight "give" near the stem end)
and stored for at least 15 days at or near 33 degrees F. Bring them to room
temps for 4-6 days and they are heavenly.

Storage ability is around 3-3.5 months when held at 33.

Thanks for the info, Derry; I'll have to see if I can get some into on
the genetic complement of Magness.

I have still to hear, however, from anyone on this list who has grown
both Warren and Magness and could give some comparative
data/observations. -- Sam

Sam,

It is my understanding that Magness has some funny ploidy - tetraploid
or something and is hard to pollenize. I was told that Moonglow is a
pollenizer for Magness.
