I used to have Tolman Sweet apple here in SW Iowa Zone 5. I found it a
bland yellow apple that didn't have much flavor. I finally cut it down as I
didn't care much for it. Judson L. Frisk

I ran across this description of the apple Tolman Sweet:
"The Tolman Sweet tastes of lychees and papaya with a hint of
strawberry."

Is this close to anyone else's experience? I have not tasted this one
myself.
