I had my wife take a package of pawpaw and persimmon seed to the post office
today and ask her to find out if there were any precautions. They looked at
her kind of like what's she talking about, and said they have not heard of
anything that was going to be done etc.

Hi Del,

I would mark the package "living plant material enclosed" and ask the
postmaster if there is any special procedure for shipping plants. Then
share your findings here.

I am sure there is a process in place.
