According to CNN yesterday, the postal service in DC is already irradiating
the mail. Try the Reuters wire and search the archives. There have been a
number of articles on this in the last week or so. As this story
progresses, the post office is also considering chemical sanitation methods,
too, because gamma ray equipment is so expensive. We'll have to see how
this shakes out.
