After fighting a long battle with  cancer, former TROTSAR Mounted Team
Assistant Commander, Laurie Platt (Trot15)  passed away on 15 May 2011. Laurie
was 57 years old and served with the team  until March of 2009 when brain
cancer forced her into retirement. Her  internment will be near Cedar Rapids
Iowa.  Her MSAR mount is now in Iowa  and will serve as the rider-less horse
at the funeral.

Go ride like the wind Laurie, we will miss  you.

T'mi,

Again our condolenses, prayers and deepest sympathies in your teams losses.  First Amo and now for Laurie.

Our prayers are with you and your mates.
*   *   *    *
Shed no tears, shed all fear, rejoice, as this is the day the Lord has made.
Earthly sorrows, rainbows and tomorrows, again, rejoice.
No fears are known, their pain is gone,
Rejoice and reap gladness in the blessing of the Lord.
