These are full registered Morgans. While in the early 60s there was a movement afoot that would have lost colorfuls to the breed the required genes did not disappear. We have only lost one color- a form of pinto- all the other colors are alive and well! :-)  The most prevalent color in Morgans is, surprisingly to many, chestnut. There are also palamino, cremello, white, overo, buckskin (and all it's variations), silver, dun, and of course black, brown, and bay- with all the modifiers possible! The breed is often around 14.2 but there are many horses both under and over that measurement. My two geldings are 14.3 while my mare- exact same breeding as one of the geldings, is 15.2 ! Years ago I fell in love with a stallion and the only reason I didn't buy him was he was 16+ hands- and I don't want to have to work that hard getting on and off my horse! LOL

As to these two horses I don't have a size yet but I'd guess from looking 14.3-15.  The mare has already found a home and we are searching for a good home for the gelding. Judging by his calm yet interested look in atrocious surroundings I'm thinking he would make an awesome SAR mount!  A few of the things I appreciate the most about my horses is their curiousity, intelligence, stamina, and absolute rock hard feet- as well as their tolerance and acceptance of new situations! :-)

How many hands tall are they?  I was under the impression Morgans are not usually that light in color, but a nice cross with them would be a nice horse.  Thanks!
