Robert,

Seattle is in King County. The Mounted unit in that County is Northwest Horseback Search And Rescue. Here is their web site. http://www.nwhsar.org/.

If you end up outside of Seattle to the south in Pierce County it is Peninsula Mounted Search And Rescue. http://pmsar.org/.

Subject: [MSAR] Moving to Seattle!

Greetings,

My wife and I are relocating to Seattle WA from Cincinnati OH.

Currently we ride with an MSAR unit in Ohio (East Fork State Park Volunteer Mounted Search and Rescue) and want to continue to serve in an MSAR in our new state.

I’ve sent a few emails to the WA units listed in the directory but have not yet received a response.

My questions:

Does anyone have any thoughts regarding units in northwestern WA and perhaps contact information?

And; since we’ll be boarding…

Does anyone know of a good stabling facility near Seattle?

Thanks for your help!
