Sat in on a conference session titled "fluid drilled seed"; the guy started off with a bit
 
about all this being nothing new and posted a pic of his infant daughter as a result of
 
the process. It was all down hill from their, he had tons of data on the viscosity of liquid
 
carrier for accurate placement of small seed.
 
I came away with an idea and for a time did a lot of petunia seeding in plain Jello;
 
and then pelleted seed and commercial plugs came along and I quit messing
 
with small seed.        
 
For doing sprouted seed I would suggest getting them seeded at about the time
 
the first signs of sprouting occur.  Clear squeeze bottles from a kitchen/restaurant
 
supply shop work well.

Note that I haven't actually done this, since my days with wallpaper paste in England. I'd love to hear from people who try it.
