I built a four row boom with drops that put sprays directly into the ear zone. 8 rows and an alley. Two rows of string beans fill the alleys... Bob.

Exactly what I had, we planted 8 row blocks and had just enough pump to run a boom
 
 to cover 4 rows with every ounce of pressure I could get from a vane pump to rattle the
 
leaves out of the way.

I have an old three-point hitch sprayer, on which I can get the booms up high, like ~6 feet and have wondered if that would work for what you talk about, Steve.
