Hi Andrea,

Check out “Weeds and Why They Grow” by Jay L. McCaman.

Here’s one link: http://www.acresusa.com/books/closeup.asp?action="search&prodid=73&catid=&pcid=2

If you do a search for “weeds” in the books section of the Acres USA website, you’ll find a few more references, too, but this is the book I have on my shelf.

Does anyone know of a good reference (website or book) that explains what particular weeds tell us about the soil, i.e. bindweed grows well in soil with low organic content.
I've been searching through the internet with no results but I know such a thing exists.

Thanks in advance
Andrea
