Aloha!
I am an extension specialist working with immigrant farmers in Hawaii.
One huge problem my farmer cooperators have is flocks of birds that
come and eat newly emerged radish, long bean flowers, young eggplants,
and young cucumbers. The farmers tried many things that will not cost
them money - empty soda cans that will make noise when tied together
and rattled, looked/bought what Gempler has to drive away birds, but of
no help. Anyone in the list has a good idea to share? You can send me
your response off the list to prevent too much clutter. Mahalo!
