I've seen the same thing develop in our tunnel. It takes a few years but it
eventually happens, unless you use sprinkler irrigation regularly, which
would leach the salts down in the soil profile continually. This is one of
the reasons Eliot Coleman uses a track system to move his tunnels from
season to season.
