Our little farm has an Oregon Scientific wireless weather station,
model # WMR-968. You can get details on the unit at
www.oregonscientific.com, and purchase directly from them online.

It's a pretty neat unit, but it's pricey: $499. I managed to buy mine
on a post-christmas sale a couple of years ago and saved some money.

It will support up to three outdoor temperature/humidity or
temperature-only sensors. I have a temp/humid sensor in my greenhouse,
a temp-only sensor with probe for monitoring soil temperature in my
raised beds, and the included temp/humid sensor for monitoring air
temp.

The unit also comes with an anenometer for monitoring wind speed and
direction, and a rain gauge. All components are wireless, and report
to a main LCD unit about the size of a large paperback book.

The unit has an RS-232 serial port which lets you hook up to a PC and
report weather information to a program running on the PC. Oregon
Scientific sells such software, but I have purchased a program called
Weather Display that I am really happy with. You can get information
and a 30-day trial download at www.weather-display.com.

If anyone is interested in the kind of data that the weather station
produces, check out my web page:

Click on Weather to see the full output from the Weather Display
program.
