I have had mixed luck with Beetberry. I finally have about 50 healthy plants ready to go outside in another 3-4 weeks. This year I soaked the seed for 24 hours before starting in flat of spaghum peat/vermiculite mixed 50/50. Then potted on using an OMRI approved potting soil and paper pots. Leaves and berries are harvested at will, I live in a fickle environment (zone 4/5 se Wyoming) and direct seeding picky plants does not work well for me. Beetberry is tough and germination rate is low but I find its unique qualities and delicious flavors to be well worth the effort. Let me know if you want to talk more.
