I used a heavy-duty wand flamer fed by a 20# propane cylinder,
hot enough to warp 1/2" steel plate, on entrenched Bermuda grass.
Hardly fazed it as it simply regenerated from the rhizomes. I tried
blanching the foliage as recommended but that didn't work either.
Covering with old rugs, pasteboard or those heavy duty lightproof
tarps from Home Depot is all I've found that eradicates Bermuda.
