I received a little snide email from some uninformed lurker in this
list implying that there may be safe limits on rock dust application
on farmland (I said rock quarry fines above, not mineral products such
as sul-po-mag, rock phosphate or natural mined potash). From what I've
heard there are _almost_ no limits on rock phosphate application. I
would assume that if the MSDS indicates no components of any
particular quarry stone are toxic or would cause temporary or
semi-permanent chemical imbalances from oveapplication on farm soils,
that it would be safe to use most quarry fines in any amount one would
care to apply. Anyone ever heard of any quarry stone that could cause
problems if used in this context?
