I think my problem was based on trying to use Thunderbird with IMAP. Even
with the sych settings I had, it was downloading a lot of stuff. Since I
removed it and started using webmail, disk space has stayed steady. I had
deleted enough stuff to get 500M and speed isn't too bad.

I'll look at other options sometime later.
