Title: Upgrading Windows XP to Professional
I was not going to upgrade to Vista-- I just need some of the functionality that comes with the professional version for some ASP.NET work...

Hardware requirements for Vista usually necessitate new boxen. Make sure you have 2 GB RAM, or stick with XP.

Hi Folks,

I want to upgrade my laptop from Windows XP Home Edition to Professional so that I have IIS, the .NET framework, and Remote Desktop.  Have any of you done this?  If so, do you have any advice or warnings?

Thanks!

Colleen
