Our client, an on-demand software company, is looking for a Designer/User Interface Engineer to join their award winning web development team.

 

The right candidate will be an artistic computer science major who will direct the look and feel of the application. The selected candidate will also be responsible for developing and enforcing user interface standards and for developing and maintaining the user interface of the application.  He or she will drive the interaction design process from initial concept through engineering implementation. 

 

 

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • BS in Computer Science
  • 2+ years experience designing and developing web applications
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and _javascript_ (AJAX experience is a plus)
  • Experience with Web 2.0 and Photoshop
  • Understanding of object orientated programming
  • Experience coding in PHP, Ruby or Perl is a plus
  • Experience coding on an open-source Linux platform
  • Experience developing user interface standards
  • Experience designing and maintaining the user interface of the application

 

 

The right candidate will demonstrate a "can do" attitude with high energy, creativity and tenacity; be able to work productively, both within a team and independently to develop and deliver high quality software product; commit and deliver to tight project timelines; function and prioritize effectively under deadlines; effectively communicate development and activities status within a team environment; be flexible and willing to take on a wide range of responsibilities; dependable, initiative, self-direction and empowerment are all characteristics an ideal candidate will possess; requires a strong customer focus, superior analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities, and exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
