Hi Christian,

I wonder what Mr. Weinstein's stance on copyright violations is. Clearly from skimming his blog he is concerned about large corporations using copyright lawsuits to threaten the rights of end users on the Internet. But what about individual users like Mr. Weinstein himself, who might publish a blog and then have an entry copied verbatim on public mailing lists? Do you think he believes all knowledge is for the public good and should just be published without permission of the author?

At least one of Mr. Weinstein's posts on his blog says:
"Copyright © 2007 Lauren Weinstein.
All rights reserved."

While that was specific to one post, nowhere is there permission granted to republish his other works that I can find.

In the event you actually have secured permission to republish his works, I apologize for this post, but note it is customary to indicate this permission clearly to avoid misunderstanding.

Regards,
Jeremy Portzer
