That would be great. Thanks a lot. And if you or any of your friends know of
any hangouts in other cities, please let me know. Thanks again for your
help. Rena

Hi, Rena,

No, RiRa's isn't a techie hangout anymore, although quiz night is still
fun. I find the best techie gathering in the Triangle is the monthly
roving InterNetworkers gathering -- you can see what it's about at
http://www.ibiblio.org/internetworkers/

It's not a static place, but we do get together on a regular basis,
drink beer and have fairly nerdy conversations. :) Plus very non-nerdy
conversations, about books, music, politics, facial hair, etc.

If you'd like, I could forward the question to the associated mailing
list, and they might have more suggestions for you. I'd remove your
phone number...

Hi Diana,

I'm working on an article for Popular Science Magazine and I read one
of
your postings on an old list. You recommended Quiz Night at RiRa's as a
popular techie hangout back in 2001. I was wondering if this is still
true
today? Don't worry, I won't quote you (unless you want me to, of
course).
I'm just trying to come up with a map of techie/science hangouts
around the
country and can't seem to find one for the Triangle area. Any
suggestions
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.
