Saturday, May 26 was the first annual TriLUG Eat & Geek Spring
Installfest. And what a great time it was!

We had a great turnout (about 50 overall) including several new-to-Linux
people. We also had several new members sign up (welcome to the LUG,
folks!), and overall, ate LOTS of Pulled Pork and Chicken, and had a
pretty good time.

I'd like to thank all the volunteers - both the helpers and the
vict... uh, installees. Not everything went perfect, but things went well
over all.

Unfortunately, there were two casualties - one machine had hardware
trouble, while another wise fine at the 'fest, but then had disk errors
when the user got home (anyone in Durham/CH have a spare 7.1 CD set he can
borrow?)

And now, for the "credit where credit is due" department :

- - First up, a big thanks to NeTraverse for both the food and the eval
copies of Win4Lin 3.0 (which lives in our library now)
- - Next, thanks to our friends from LUG@NCSU who showed up and lent a
helping hand, or just entertained - Jeremy Katz, Pam Huntley and Tom
"spot" Callaway.
- - A Big thank you to Red Hat Support engineers Chris Kloiber and Tom
"spot" Callaway for being there to answer our questions
- - Thanks to everyone who stayed late to help clean up - Roy Vestal, Hunter
Mathews, Chris Knowles, Jon Carnes, and a few other people whose names I
didn't get (sorry!)
- - And finally, a great big thank you to Jon Carnes and HAHT software for
hosting!

Oh, and we have one SMAC/Tribes 2 Combo pack leftover from our Loki order
for sale (30USD).

Again, thanks to everyone who showed up, and we'll see you at the June
Meeting!
