As noted earlier, Triangle InterNetWorkers is collecting food for
donation to the Food Bank of North Carolina at BOTH of our December
events. We hope that everyone who comes the Open House on Saturday Dec.
9th or the regular gathering on Thursday the 7th will bring at least one
food item with them for the Food Bank.

It's an easy thing to do and it's important work. The Food Bank is a
non-profit charitable agency which provides wholesome food to relief
organizations in 34 counties of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Nearly 400,000 people benefit from this food distribution network.

I've spoken with someone at the Food Bank, who tells me that they are
in particular need of the following things:

- Canned Meats
- Canned Fruits and Vegetables
- Canned Soups and Stews
- Canned Fish (tuna, salmon)
- Canned Juice (100% juice content)
- Dried Beans & Rice
- Paper Products (TP, paper towels, napkins)
- Cleaning Suppplies (laundry, dish and hand soaps)
- Diapers
- Powdered Milk
- Cereals

As you shop this week for your own table, please keep our food drive --
and your less fortunate neighbors -- in mind and pick up a few extra
items to bring with you to InterNetWorkers.

Follow the links for details on the events:

Pick-A-Theme Potluck Party
Saturday, December 9, 6:00 p.m. at the Edinborough-in-the-Park Clubhouse
in RTP.

December Gathering: Thursday, Dec. 7, 7:00 p.m. at the Vertigo Diner in

Hope you can come to one or both events.
