Court Won't Intervene in North Carolina Tax Case
Associated Press

The Supreme Court steered clear of a dispute over North Carolina's tax
on illegal drugs. The justices, acting without comment Monday, let
stand a state appeals court ruling that said the tax does not amount to
double jeopardy - two punishments for one crime.
