Here's an announcement from Trinity Press International that will be of
interest to List Members,

Trinity Press International Foundation
Creates $10,000 Trinity Prize to Recognize
Emerging Writers and Scholars

Trinity Press International Foundation has created the Trinity Prize to
recognize and encourage an emerging writer or scholar whose work offers
new perspectives on biblical, cultural, ethical, theological or
religious issues.

The Foundation will award a prize of $10,000 to a writer or scholar
whose cross-disciplinary writing has broad applications for a general
audience. In addition to the prize, Trinity Press International will
publish the writerÂ’s work.

Eligibility guidelines
Writers and scholars in the early stages of their careers are encouraged
to submit their work. Entrants must have had at least one article
published in a learned journal. Professors, journal editors and book
reviewers may also nominate manuscripts.

How to enter
Interested writers and scholars should submit either a book-length
manuscript or partial manuscript, a detailed outline and sample chapter,
and an estimated date of completion to:

Entry deadline
March 1, 2002

Judging
A subcommittee of the TPI Advisory Board will judge the submissions.

Award presentation
The winning author will receive the $10,000 prize during the November
2002 meeting of the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical
Literature in Toronto.
