I installed freetds from rpm (on CentOS 5.7) so not sure if that was compiled
in by whomever created the package.

When does .92 come out?

>From my code KEEPALIVE is set in 0.91 and 0.92 by these rows in src/tds/net.c

perhaps for some reasons SO_KEEPALIVE is not defined ??
