Hi!

I'm trying to build "freetds-0.82" on RHEL5. The RHEL5 is our
corporative standart and
I can't "upgrade" or change a system.

There is a "freetds-0.64" RPM for the RHEL5 from the EPEL5 repository.
Basically it works
but I wanted to use a newer version.

Unfortunately I can't build a "freetds-0.82" on the RHEL5. The
"configure" script works,
but "make" fails:

# make
CDPATH="${ZSH_VERSION+.}:" && cd . && /bin/sh
/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/freetds-0.82/missing --run autoconf
aclocal.m4:20: warning: this file was generated for autoconf 2.65.
You have another version of autoconf. It may work, but is not guaranteed to.
If you have problems, you may need to regenerate the build system entirely.
To do so, use the procedure documented by the package, typically `autoreconf'.
configure.ac:20: error: Autoconf version 2.62 or higher is required
aclocal.m4:518: AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE is expanded from...
configure.ac:20: the top level
autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 63
make: *** [configure] Error 1

RHEL5 uses "autoconf-2.59" as standart package.

Is there a way to build "freetds-0.82" on the RHEL5 ?
