I prefer to get both bzip2 and gzip files, if it is not too much bother.

Oy! We have met the enemy and he is us.

http://freetds.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/freetds/freetds/configure.ac?r1=1.43&r2=1.44

When configure.ac changed to create bzip files, the overnight script started
failing. I've never been able to figure out a good way to get mail only for
*failed* jobs, so my BOFH sysadmin strategy is to ignore everything until
someone complains. And then, it seems, continue ignoring....

Going to bzip2 for the distfiles involves some fiddly work with my scripts
and to the website. And likely somedownstream work for anyone packaging
them. For that reason I'm disinclined to do switch. I know Frediano would
like to switch to bzip2, though; I think because he admires its efficiency.

So, the choices are 3:

1. Revert configure.ac.

2. Generate both bzip2 and gzip distfiles.

3. Update the scripts and website.

Any thoughts or even just strongly held opinions? Inquiring minds want to
know. Since it's been broken since January, we don't have to fix it today.
