Hi James,

here is the first little bit of the stack trace for the first crash I'm seeing.

Program received signal EXC_BAD_ACCESS, Could not access memory.

I'm using the 0.82 release of FreeTDS and the following is the version line from /usr/include/sql.h

A while ago I started making a Ruby extension that talked to the FreeTDS library directly. Maybe now is the time to finally finish it off and make it work with Rails ;)

Unfortunately when I try to connect to SQL Server using the ODBC mode

I've done quite a bit of googling to see if I can find any information
about this problem, and finally decided to ask here. Is this a known
problem, and if so is there a fix for it?

What exactly is the error? Do you have a line number and source file
name? Which versions of sql.h and FreeTDS are you using?

64-bit ODBC can be a challenge due to 32-bit assumptions baked into the
ODBC API. It sounds like somewhere you're trimming off the high word of a
pointer. I would engage Google with that in mind.

HTH.
