Viva la difference!

When I see "I'm trying to get my code working with the FreeTDS driver
(0.64) on Mac OS X", I immediately assume there's a libtool or Unicode or
other portability issue.

You know the ODBC driver has come of age when it's being compared to
proprietary implementations, recommended by commercial products, and
people are asking about 3.5 features.

It is a complex piece of work, and it's taken many years and iterations.
It's not done, of course -- what is? -- but it's come a long way.

With Frediano at the helm, a great many people have contributed to this
driver, some with great gobs of code, some with a bug report or a
question. As they survey their work, I hope they feel commensurate pride
in their accomplishment.
