My system does not have an 'ident' command;
The system is;
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 8)
Kernel 2.4.21-20.ELsmp on an i686

The ident tag line in the source is;
TDS_RCSID(var, "$Id: net.c,v 1.37 2005/12/05 06:01:59 freddy77
Exp $");

We want the tag from the file where you found the working code. You can
do one of two things.

1. Run ident(1) on the file. That's what this is doing:

$ ident src/tds/net.c
src/tds/net.c:
$Id: net.c,v 1.49 2006/11/28 17:04:28 jklowden Exp $

(ident works on binaries, too, btw. Try it on tsql or maybe your
kernel.)

2. Look at the code. Near the top, you should see something with
"$Id:" in it:

$ grep -n \$Id: src/tds/net.c
101: TDS_RCSID(var, "$Id: net.c,v 1.49 2006/11/28 17:04:28 jklowden Exp
$");

I guess line 101 is "near the top", eh?

(We don't keep old snapshots around. I know from the version label (and
folder name) that yours was generated on February 24, 2006. That gives
me a hint which CVS revision it contains, but the CVS tag is more
reliable.)

Thanks.
