| Hi Martin!
|
| What exactly happens when you try to execute autogen.sh with /bin/sh?
|
| I do it all the time on NetBSD. It defintely doesn't *require* bash.
|
| I wonder whether there's something nonstandard in the script (nothing
| obvious to me) or if perhaps your /bin/sh falls short in some way?
|
| I'd rather change the script so it works with anything claiming to be a
| Bourne shell.

I'd personally stop short of "fixing" the script so that it works with
the Solaris /bin/sh :-) Seriously Sun should be ashamed for not fixing
or replacing the basic tools and hiding the working ones in /usr/xpg4/bin,
and their customers should complain.
