If you get this to work (which shouldn't be too hard), I would be happy
to apply your patches to the main tree.

A .dsw is a "workspace", a collection of .dsp ("project") files. The
.dsp governs which source modules produce which binaries. The .dsw
governs interproject dependencies. Last I looked, there's no .dsp that
produces libsybdb.lib.

IMHO, that's not a good target directory. I would rather see
freetds-0.62.4/src/odbc/win32/msvc6/Debug, making it clear that it's an
ODBC binary.

(If you spend a little time with dumpbin.exe, you'll see what's in
freetds.dll.)

Create a project that produces a static library from src/dblib/*.c and
src/tds/*.c. After that, it's just a small matter of programming.
