I am using the same combination (sqsh 1.7 and freetds 0.43). I found that
sqsl code dumped whenever I ran any query with the output style set to
"pretty" (the same queries ran fine with the default output style). I
used gdb and found the crash came from sqsh code (no freetds in the call
stack). I didn't care much at that point (I usually use the x output), so
I gave up. I didn't assemble a bug report for sqsh (sorry), so you may
want to do so.
