Hi there...

I am sort of doing some digging for an OPEN Source IVR Server. Take a look
at http://voxilla.org for a few more details.

One of the most important things in an IVR server (other than the Telephony
drivers) is the Database Connection. Since this is going to be open source,
and we will want to support as many databases as possible.

Personally, I am going to need a SQL Server connection to make this work
for me.

Unfortunately there are no drivers for Telephony cards out yet (some are
coming RSN) so the initial development will probably be under SCO
(heresy... I know... :( ) and probably NT (because of work pressures). The
ultimate goal is to have a IVR Server that WE can use, and deploy with
little cost as possible.. Right now we have to fork over around $400US per
port. It does get a bit expensive... VERY QUICKLY...

Anyway, I thought I tell you all about this project, let you know there is
a VERY practical project that is going to be needing the stuff you are
working on sometime soon!
