I just wanted to pass on information about several student sustainability events, which are coming up in the next couple of weeks.  Your participation at any of these events would be greatly welcomed, as well as passing on the word to students in Tompkins County.

  • Campus Sustainability Day- Wed. 10/20, 10-3PM on Ho Plaza; various student organizations will be tabling and providing information about their initiatives related to sustainability at Cornell
  • Sustainability Hub at CCSF/ Trustee Council event- Fri. 10/29, 3-6PM in Weill Hall
  • The "Generation Waking Up" Experience- Sat. 11/6; 2-6PM in Weill Hall, Rm. 226; The "Generation Waking Up" Experience is an interactive, multimedia, peer-led educational workshop that effectively moves young people into a place of hope and inspired action. Through music, media, exercises, and dialogue, participants explore the critical questions facing young people and society, and develop a clear sense of identity and purpose as members of a generation-wide movement for a thriving, just, sustainable world. An updated listing of student sustainability organizations can be found on the Cornell Sustainable Campus web site, under "Get Involved": http://www.sustainablecampus.cornell.edu/getinvolved/studentorgs.cfm.  If you have any questions about the above events, please feel free to contact me at kca27 AT cornell.edu.  The posters for the first two events are attached to this e-mail.

I hope that you will be able to join us and help promote these exciting events.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
K.C. Alvey
