I have just read the link www.yksi.org/tekst/ald/borges_3giuda-en.txt
pointed out on the Biblical studies list. In this link, there is a throwaway
line:

the attributes of impeccabilitas and of humanitas are not compatible

This has to be a theological question. Even in offices today, people are
wrestling with the character of Judas.

Hebrews writes (Koester's translation of 4:15) "For we do not have a high
priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been
tested in every respect, in these same ways, without sin."

Does the author of Hebrews (and could Paul similarly) hold a view of sin
that recognizes that whatever action was taken, if it was taken in faith, it
cannot be sin? Ergo, since Jesus is faithful, he is without sin. (Paul does
state this is so many words - whatever is not of faith is sin.)

Can this resolve the incompatibility of sinlessness (not a word) and
humanity?

Is this why they have such a hard time communicating with the centuries?
Law, even just good advice, is preferable to such freedom.
