I second the works of Elliott and Stowers.
For a somewhat different approach with a brief but fine survey of rhetorical
analyses of Romans, you might want to look at

R. Dean Anderson Jr., Ancient Rhetorical Theory and Paul (CBET 18; Kampen:
Pharos, 1996) pp. 169-219.
