Regarding the subject of the law and sin in Rom 6.14,15. If one is under the law they are also under the rule of sin in the old era. The believer in the new era of grace is no longer in the realm dominated by sin under the law. Being in the new era of grace means that one is free from the dominating power of sin. Law free believers will not become sinful antinomians under grace but will actually fulfill the righteousness that the law required (rom. 8.4) and thus no longer is there any need for the law. Rom 8.4 then serves as a climax to his discussion of the discontinuity of the law. This was the theme of my doctoral thesis.
