Is "shredder" your given name, or did you pick that one out yourself? How rad would it have been had your parents known, in utero, that you would grow up to SHRED, brah! AWESOME!

funny you should ask.

we had a convo last night about the dearth of good musicians in the
local music flora. if you just look at what the popular bands are in
our area you quickly see that hardly any of them can play very well.
what they can do is (well some of them) connect to the audience in
ways having nothing to do with music. i.e. charisma, gimicks, etc.

if you want to see a decent crowd of musicians that can play (usually)
go to mansion 462 on wed night for their open mic. there are a lot of
local greats that frequent that place on wed. george sheppard, willie
ratch, the great simon and many others.

the problem you mention is not new. it is always like this because
the majority of the people who go to clubs around here care very
little about decent musicinship but are more likely to respond to the
stupid stuff like cuteness, or the gimmicks i mentioned earlier. i
think people who like the better musicians out there hold their art to
a higher standard so you get frequently disappointed with the banal
common in the rank and file bands.

check out the mansion and chime in later to tell us how it goes.

peace out!
