installpkg is the command Slackware (and BL2) uses to
install packages.

pkg is the command BL1 and BL3 use to install packages.

pkg installs them too. The main difference between
installpkg and pkg is that pkg does not have an
un-install option.

Please note that packages from Slackware 7/8/9 do not
work with BL3. BL3 is compatible with packages from
Slackware 3/4.
