How do you transfer files with sftp or ssh?
Ssh sounds like a good idea. Several people at my bbs have complained
that they can no longer reach some computers without it. Telnet won't
work in those cases.

What size RAM disk would this necessitate?

You could save some space again by using e3 instead of nano.
If you can compile so e3pi runs without tail, or get it to work with
busybox tail, that would save another 24K, assuming you want to make life
easy for people used to using pico.

I still have not figured out the BL2 email program - I keep forgetting how
to use it and I don't think there is any way to send attachments.

Only programs I have used recently in X are Opera, XV, and once in a
while Kermit if I want a scroll buffer. Xpdf is too slow, I will go back
to using DOS gs with psview instead. None of these will fit in RAMdisk.
Nor will Abiword.

What do you expect people to use X for on a RAMdisk? Links graphical?
Running CLI programs in windows?

Will you offer the option of a larger RAM disk so that more X programs
will fit, and maybe a third floppy disk that is optional at boot time,
containing the X programs?

All of our desktop computers have at least 16M RAM. We have one laptop
with 12M RAM that would run linux if it could be made to function.
Do any current users want to run X on something with 8M RAM?

I thought the plural of 'you' was 'you guys' only in my part of the world
(Michigan and nearby states).
