I am sorry, but I don't know if God is "strong" or powerful", or "mighty".

The root L immutably (immutably!) means 'up, on, above'.
From this root we have EL, ELAH and ALON.
Also עול OL, as in Deut. 28:48, 'yoke', put upon the neck of a beast of burden.
Also עול UL, as in Is. 65:20, 'grown'.
Also עלילה ALILA as in Deut. 22:14, 'tall story, heaped accusations'.

No Hebrew root can mean 'might' or 'strength', but 'up, on' is good. In what sense
depends on our perception and understanding of the circumstances.

ELAH אלה (Gen. 35:4), and ALON אלון (Gen. 35:8) are tall trees.

Think also about the words: לול LUL (1Ki 6:8), לולאה LULAH (Ex. 26:5)
and ליל LAYIL (Ex. 12:42).
