With scholars not being able to agree as to the origin of the word
“Hebrew”/(BRY, why not ask if that name, like dozens of other names in the
Patriarchal narratives, is an Amarna Age non-Semitic name, being E-bi-ir-ya
and meaning “God Is Lord”?

Jim, you could be correct. However, since no-one on this list has the
knowledge of Hurrian that you obviously do, there is no way for any of us to
engage you in fruitful discussion. As several members of the list have
recommended many times, you should obviously write up your theory in a
full-length publication, publish it either in print or on-line, and open up a
blog or a list dedicated to discussion of those theories. Meanwhile, I see
that you've begun discussing them on at least one other list as well.

In any case, since it seems that the original question has been asked and
answered, THIS THREAD, UNDER ANY SUBJECT LINE, IS CLOSED.
