Plausible... but the words Philistine and Palestine are too close to
completely ignore the connection. Maybe the Greek sense of punning, per the
author, allowed the Greeks to refer to both Philistine territory and Judean
territory by the one name rather than as a specific reference to Israel. This

makes more sense to me than equating Palestine with Israel.
