   It is important to keep in mind, and perhaps to emphasize, that the 
restoration of the top registrar to  "[G] B(  [N]"   is speculative, as is
the dating of this important find, as is the meaning given it as evidence of
early taxation system.  None of the above is intended to detract from the
authenticity and the importance of the find, nor from the professional status

Could you elaborate on your question? I'm not familiar with the issue you
seem to be raising. I've always assumed that Biblical Hebrew was a snapshot
or, better said, a series of snapshots, of spoken Hebrew from the date of
authorship of the various texts.

Is there any doubt that Hebrew was the spoken language of the Israelites
through the period of the Davidic Kingdom and until the post-exilic
prophets? What features of Biblical Hebrew have been called into question as
to
whether they were part of spoken language?
