Yes that's what I said: congregation, or (female) witness - or testimony

I read too quickly and didn't see that the poster had written Aidya.

Is there such a word - Aidya - which would probably mean G-d's witness - or was it a typo?

No. "Aida" which actually has an Ayin in the initial position (a non-
silent letter that cannot be pronounced by most English speaking
people) is "congregation" or "populace". It is also happens to be
the word for a female witness. While this may be what the original
poster wanted, it is not what they asked about. They asked about
"Aidya", not "Aida".
