Dear Liz:

Thank you for an entertaining few
hours. It was like a vacation.

search for “trousers history ancient” I
came up with information that trousers
were known as far west as Denmark and
as far east as China during the bronze
age, probably invented on the steppes
of central Europe around 6000 years
ago. (As far as I can tell, trouser
wearing in Denmark was not connected
with a horse riding culture.)

The question becomes, were the trousers
mentioned in Exodus the fully sewn
trousers as known above, or were these
merely a long strip of cloth wrapped
around the loins into trousers as is
practiced in India even today?
