I have now put a Word 2000 macro to convert the plain text output of the
Hebrew BHS batch file conversions to Word 2000 format onto my website.

www.stackpole.freeserve.co.uk/hebrew/bhs2000.zip (77K ZIP file)

The file contains a Word 2000 template file - otabhs.dot, which contains a
macro otabhs.MAIN. You may need to copy this macro to your Normal.dot
template, but once this is done, all you need to do is load the product of
the "upointed", "vowels" or "accents" batch file into Word 2000 as a PLAIN
TEXT file, and run the macro "otabhs". It will produce a formatted version
of the text in the SIL Ezra font (assuming you have the font installed), and
with meaningful chapter headings in the pattern of "Isaiah 40", "Psalm 23",
"2 Chronicles 36", etc.

Unfortunately Word 2000 does not recognise the SIL Ezra font properly, so it
is impossible to do a "Search" for a particular word or phrase in the text
in Word 2000 (though this IS possible in Word 6), but this macro produces a
format where at least navigation between the chapters is quick and easy,
since the chapter headings inserted are in the TNR font, which Word 2000
does recognise in a Search routine.

I have a comparable macro for Word 6, if anyone is interested.
